The inro of rectangular shape decorated in gold and silver takamaki-e, nashiji, and kinji with a falcon perched on a rock amidst crashing waves, the reverse with a pine by the sea and the setting sun lacquered in red hiramaki-e sinking behind bands of clouds, interior cases nashiji; fitted with a soft metal ojime and a wood netsuke carved as two squash, with inlaid horn--3in. (7.6cm.) high, losses to kirigane
