Of flattened oval section, finely decorated in inlaid mother-of-pearl, gold hiramaki-e, and gold and silver kinji with a snake climbing a tree, a well head, lotus and other water plants covered in cobwebs and a dragonfly on the reverse, the top and bottom with Somada style brocade patterns, interior cases in fine nashiji; fitted with a Somada style bead ojime, and a kagamibuta netsuke with a stained ivory bowl and gold plate carved in relief with Seiobo and a bowl of peaches, signed Narichika koku--4in.
