The first with three cases decorated in gold and silver hiramaki-e, gold foil and aogai with a continuous scene of swimming ducks, the ground in nashiji with swirling wave patterns designed in gold hiramaki-e, interior cases fundame, fitted with a cylindrical ojime with a flowering branch in soft metal inlay, and an ivory netsuke modelled in the form of Gamma sennin; the second lacquered in gold and silver hiramaki-e and with flowering grasses and inlaid coral and malachite berries, some replaced with other materials, interior cases nashiji, fitted with a carnelian agate bead ojime--3 1/8 and 3¼in., (7.9 and 8.2cm.) high (2)
