Of rounded rectangular shape decorated in takamaki-e and kirigane with scene of Kosagi, one of the paragons of filial piety, returning from a waterfall turned into a stream of sake by the gods, holding a full gourd and a bunch of firewood for his parents, his father witnessing the incredible event on the reverse, the figures of inlaid shakudo and copper with gilt detail, both scenes on kinji ground reserved within an inlaid frame of shaped silver, the sides, top and bottom okibirame, interior cases gyobu-nashiji; fitted with a green glass ojime and a kagamibuta netsuke, the soft metal plate of a courtier in relief--3¾in.
