The inro of oval section decorated in gold and silver takamaki-e, nashiji, and kirigane on a kinji ground with a scene of Jo and Uba, characters from the Noh play Takasago, beneath a large pine tree sweeping away the needles, a minogame or "divine tortoise" crawling near the figures, and with five cranes figured on the top and reverse, all symbols of longevity, interior cases in nashiji; fitted with an ivory ojime carved in relief with Daikoku and Ebisu, and a wood netsuke carved as a smiling Okame mask--3 5/8in.
