Of oval section decorated in togidashi, takamaki-e, aogai, and shakudo, with three plovers circling above a stream, the moon and a tall peak visible above a drift of clouds, the reverse with flowering grasses and bands of clouds, details in kirigane, interior cases nashji; fitted with an inlaid wood bead ojime and a kagamibuta netsuke, the soft metal plate with a scene of monkeys picking fruit in relief, crack to wooden bowl--3 3/8in.
