The inro of oval section decorated in gold and silver takamaki-e on a kinji ground with an early spring landscape, with two thatch-roofed houses still laden with snow and a warbler of inlaid aogai perched in a bamboo, details of clouds and mist in kirigane, remnants of snow in inlaid aogai, interior cases in nashiji; fitted with a soft metal ojime with butterflies and flowers in relief, and an ivory ryusa nestuke carved in relief with a cockerel crowing on a drum--3 3/8in. (8.6cm.) high, minor losses to kirigane
