Of rounded rectangular shape decorated with a scene of Fukurokuju playing kemari, the ball and figure in soft metal inlay against a kinji ground, the reverse with a gnarled pine trunk in gold takamaki-e embellished with hirame, both sides with pine needles in brown hiramaki-e, inner cases in nashiji; fitted with an ivory bead ojime and an ivory netsuke in the form of a manzai dancer--3 3/8in. (8.4cm.) high
