Lot Essay

Dixie II was built by C.H. Crane and fitted with a 220 hp V8 Crane-Whitman engine by E.F. Schroeder. She won the Harmworth Trophy and American Power Boat Association Gold Cup and is reported to have made a new World record at 37.113 mph.
