UNION PACIFIC R.R. Views. N.p., n.d. [circa late 1860s]. 24 mounted albumen photographs. Oblong 4to, original gilt-lettered brown cloth, a little rubbed; lacking preliminary leaf (title?), spine cracked with a few gatherings loose, some soiling (mostly on mounts), duplicate stamp (Library of Congress) on front pastedown. With advertisements on most mount versos (two with photographic illustrations) printed in gold; the cover is gilt-lettered with name of sponsor: "The Travelers Insurance Company of Hartford Conn." Photographs presumable by A.J. Russell, who was thr photographer for the U.P.R.R. Compared with other published views by Russell, these appear to be reduced-size images.
