[ICEBERG]. Mounted albumen photograph of an iceberg in Melville Bay, Greenland. Circa 1870. 290 x 400 mm. (11 7/16 x 15¾ in.), a few small ink stains amd a little soiling on image, mount a little darkened and worn edges. Inscribed on mount: "An iceberg seen in Melville Bay in August which was named the 'Castle berg' grounded in about 400 feet of water, the field ice being some 12 to 18 inches thick."
