Of ovoid form with two squared openwork rim handles, the tops decorated with three undulating forms, on the exterior of the body with geometric reliefs in bands of triangles and concentric rectangles

Lot Essay

Such bowls are unique to the southern Northwest Coast Wishxram and Wasgo people. They may have been made for use during the First Root Feasts which were held every spring (see Brown, 1995, p. 282, no. 101).
