Wright (1996) writes: "A Euro-American sailor grasps the tongue of a bird on this 1840s or 1850s ship pipe. They sit on an undrilled base-line, a fragment of a ship pipe that would have been more than twice this length in its complete form. The bowl and stem portion of this pipe are missing."
