The rectangular cartouche-shaped top with glazed top inset with blue velvet silver-embroidered saddlecloth, on slightly splayed ring-turned legs with pierced brackets

Provenance
The saddlecloth was sold in the Dromoland castle house sale together with a painting of 'Lady O'Brien's horse with running footman' (Lot 453). According to family tradition the saddlecloth belonged to Lady O'Brien, wife of Sir Edward O'Brien, the owner of the great racehorses depicted in the sporting paintings, lots 1-13.
The saddlecloth was fitted into this table by Mr. and Mrs. Braga.
