AN ENCHANTING RUBY, DIAMOND AND GOLD CAT NECESSAIRE
Of rectangular outline in 18K gold, the front designed as a repoussé and chased seated cat, with ruby and diamond eyes and wearing a ruby and diamond bow and ribbon, bearing three initials, the reverse of similar design, depicting the cat's back, with two cabochon ruby pushpieces and a pull-out mechanical pencil, opening to reveal, on one side, a mirror-covered compartment containing a note tablet and a money clip and on the other, two covered compartments, suspended from a gold oval link chain handle, with French hallmarks, circa 1905, gross weight (including mirror)--7.65 ozs., 3¾ x 2¼ x ½ ins.
