A leather travel trunk belonging to the matinee idol; the Peal & Co. of London trunk is monogrammed on each side with the initials R.V.G., Rudolph Valentino Guglielmi. The trunk contains a collection of personal and career memorabilia including four 1925 Rudolph Valentino in The Eagle world premiere coins; seven postcard pictorials (dated 1920 and earlier) addressed to the star's mother and sister in Europe; the Italian and English handwritten notes discuss his career progress in America. Includes a card from Palm Springs "I am in the desert to rest after having finished "Four Knights of the Apocalypse." Write me soon. Love from Rudolph." The 1921 film would of course be renamed Four Horseman Of The Apocalypse, and made the actor a star. Together with a triangular gilt keyring with the monogrammed initials R.V.; a 1931 copy of "The Intimate Journey Of Rudolph Valentino" by William Faro; a 1923 copy of "Daydreams" by Rudolph Valentino; sheetmusic for "Rudolph Valentino's Love Song"; a studio photograph of Rudolph Valentino with his signature stamp and, a 1924 (broken) recording of the star singing "El Pelicario."
