THE MISFITS
A custom made saddle used by the actor in his last film, The Misfits, prior to his death in 1960. Set against the backdrop of the Nevada desert, Mr. Gable starred as the cowboy involved with co-star Marilyn Monroe who befriends a group of cowboys. The leather and suede saddle is dark brown, constructed in the western style. Together with a pair of rust suede and leather Cowboy style boots worn by the actor during the filming; stamped by the boot makers HYER, accompanied by two wood and metal boot tress.
