Vase-shaped and on spreading foot, the handles formed as demi eagles issuing scrolls to the shoulder and lip; the domed cover with finial cast as the figure of winged Victory, the body embossed and chased to either side with a laurel wreath within a cartouche framed by flower heads and foliage on a matted ground, with similar borders to foot, neck and cover, later engraved to one side with presentation inscription; with ebonised wooden plinth
