In our view this is a binding produced by Wisden, for which the original publisher's cloth and lettering tools have been used, and not a facsimile of such a binding. But as hardback bindings were only produced commerically by Wisden from 1896 onwards, the binding cannot be any earlier than this, and does in fact appear to us to be in the "second style" of Wisden binding produced between 1903 and 1928.
