the cut ovoid body on a star-cut shaped circular base, the beaded mount decorated with rococo scrolling foliage and scalework and with a satyr's mask spout, foliate-decorated scroll handle and domed hinged cover with stylised artichoke finial, each side of the mount with a rococo C-scroll cartouche, one engraved with a crest, London 1897 - 9¾in.
