the oviform body applied with scroll handles terminating in ram's heads and an oval medallion moulded with the Sacrifice to Aesculapius on a ground sponged in green/brown and blue, the slightly domed cover with a ball finial, supported on a circular foot on a square black basalt base, impressed mark for WEDGWOOD & BENTLEY ETRURIA -- 12 7/8in. (32.7cm.) high, circa 1775 (chips to rim, restoration to finial and handles, chips to base)
