in oil on canvas, inscribed in Chinese to the reverse with the title 'Peony Village', depicting a figure working in a field and women carrying baskets, emerging from a gateway, further figures seated on a bench and walking towards the gateway to the village before pavilions set amongst trees before distant mountains -- 20in. x 24½in. (50.8cm x 62.2cm), 19th century, gilt frame, (paint cracked and flaked away in parts).
