A famille rose desk set
comprising a pen box, inkwell and candlestick, the cover painted with birds and butterflies among peonies and chrysanthemums issuing from rockwork, the inkwell decorated with a couple painting fans, vases and precious objects, birds among flowers and a landscape scene en camaieu rose, the set with further landscape panels and tightly scrolling lotus heads -- 8¼in. (21cm.) diam, early Qianlong, (the sander missing, the inkwell cracked.)
