with everted rim, painted in underglaze blue, coloured enamels and gilt with central stylised leaves within a border of coiled dragons chasing flaming pearls among cloud scrolls and karashishi on a geometric pattern ground, the exterior with shishi lion roundels alternating with lotus flowerheads and leaves -- 8½in. (21.5cm.) diam, underglaze blue Chenghua six-character mark.
