with knop finial, painted with a broad band of coiled dragons chasing flaming pearls among cloud scrolls, the shoulder with shaped panels of lotus flowers, the foot with stylised lappets -- 15½in. (39.5cm.) high, circa 1500, (jar rim with two small sections restuck, five vertical rim cracks, cover with rim section restuck.)
