THE PROPERTY OF THE LATE MAGDA RODRIGO later Mrs Bareno Mrs Bareno was a life long friend and client of Cristobal Balenciaga. Her husband, Juan Tomas Bareno, was a business associate, and, among other ventures, was the first to hold the licence to distribute Balenciaga perfumes in Spain. Mrs Bareno lent several outfits to both the Metropolitan Museum in 1973 for their exhibition 'The World of Balenciaga', and to 'El Mundo de Balenciaga' in Madrid in 1974.
