of red leather trimmed with a simple small oval buckle of gilt metal, with rounded toe and low heel ¼in. (0.5cm), lined in white kid and stamped Henry Weiss St. Pétersbourg Nevsky 66 with a double-headed eagle, circa 1900; and a chemise of fine white cotton with pleated decoration, trimmed with lace and monogrammed O N with crown above

Said to have belonged to the Grand Duchess Olga Nicolaievna 1895-1918. This lot is sold with a letter from the niece of her governess's sister, Aunt Gracie, which was sent with the shoes to her Aunt Adele for her daughter Estelle, aged two, to wear - she never did
