the bowls with crenelated rims overlaid with opaque oval panels printed with portraits of ladies in 18th century dress, probably the Beauties of the French Court, on a ground cut with fan-shaped panels and gilt with scrolling foliage, the bowl suspending cut clear drops above spreading feet -- 13in. (33cm.) high, 19th century (wear to gilt, some small chips, one drop lacking)
