First quarter 19th century
The well-proportioned small case of typical layout with architectural top, hinged dial door and lift-out glazed panels to the trunk and base, levelling screws either side of the concave base moulding, ormolu milled and trellis-cast bezel to the white painted Roman chapter ring with engine-turned centre, the reverse of the chapter ring scratch engraved Lorenzy, the movement with four wheel train and maintaining power, fine adjustment to the crutch piece to the steel-rod pendulum, brass-cased weight, the movement secured to the case with an adapted brass bracket
