No other vase combining this shape and decoration appears to have been published, although several related examples from important collections are known.
A vase of this quatrefoil lobed shape divided by triplet ribs with a similar cover but lacking the carved floral medallions from the Charles B. Hoyt Collection, is illustrated in Oriental Ceramics, Kodansha Series, vol.11, fig.104, from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. A vase of similar shape, divided into four lobes by triplet ribs with similar carved floral roundels above incised clouds, but with a high waisted neck was sold in London, 10 June 1986, lot 192. A vase with roundels and incised clouds but undivided into lobes and with a high waisted neck is illustrated in the Chang Foundation Inaugural Catalogue, col.pl.18. A vase with roundels but no incised decoration also in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston is illustrated in op.cit., fig.109.
