The tusk carved in high relief with reticulated branches springing upward from ornamental rockwork around the base issuing chrysanthemum, peonies, magnolia and lingzhi with pairs of birds in flight and perched on branches stained in black pigment above a fanciful phoenix, all below a twenty-eight character inscription (minor losses)
