Thickly potted in the shape of a bell and well painted in brilliant tones of cobalt with a continuous landscape of mountains and streams, with houses nestled beneath trees and a pair of scholars in conversation on a riverbank

Lot Essay

A Yongzheng-marked cup of this shape but decorated with a scene from the Ode to the Red Cliff, from the Eugene O. Perkins Collection, sold in our New York Rooms, 2 June 1989, lot 41.
