Lot Essay

Wares decorated in the so-called 'boneless' style are usually enamelled to depict semi-naturalistic but identifiable flowers. Bowls in this technique are rarer than dishes.

Compare the bowl included in the Exhibition of Ch'ing Porcelain from the Wah Kwong Collection, Chinese University of Hong Kong, 1973, Catalogue, no. 103.
