cover 1878 (July) thin paper 3ca. brown-red marginal example used on cover from Singapore and addressed to "William Hancock Esq., Peking, c/o Commissioner of Customs, Shanghai", also bearing Straits Settlements 1867-72 8c. orange-yellow which is tied by straight-line "Siegfried" security h.s. together with oval lozenge of dots postal h.s. in black, "SINGAPORE/PAID" despatch c.d.s. alongside, the Chinese Large Dragon 3ca. has been applied and cancelled "CUSTOMS/SHANGHAI" (20.1.80) on arrival, reverse with Hong Kong (12.1) and arrival c.d.s.
