A FINE MING IMPERIAL YELLOW BOWL
ENCIRCLED HONGZHI SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The finely and thinly potted bowl with rounded sides rising to a flaring rim, covered inside and out with an attractive feathery glaze of rich mustard-yellow tone, pooling to an egg-yolk colour at the foot
6 1/4 in. (15.8 cm.) diam.

A similar bowl is illustrated in the Venice Exhibition, Mostra D'Arte Cinese, 1954, Catalogue, no. 691.
