INCISED QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

Cast as a tall and a smaller baluster vase joined together and bound horizontally above the shoulder and around the base with a pair of archaistic scrolling dragons and phoenix with high-relief heads, wings and parallel serrated flanges representing tails, the rear with two large animal masks and fixed rings, the elements all highlighted by gilt areas, the nianhao inscribed with Da Qing to one base and Qian Long Nian Zhi to the other
