The rectangular body decorated to each side with a taotie mask divided by raised flanges at the corners and to the mid-section below a border of chilong, the shaped-legs formed as archaistic dragons attached to the flat base with a pair of Buddhistic lions playing with a central brocade ball, the snuggly fitting cover with four reticulated and repousse gilt panels, two with dragons amid clouds, the other two with phoenix beside each tall handle within borders of multi-coloured lotus issuing from a meander, the bulbous finial a further dragon with a flaming pearl (pitting to enamels, minor losses, small patches infilled)
