AN ARCHAISTIC WHITE JADE CUP

The translucent, even white stone finely carved as a deep cup with slightly everted sides carved to the exterior with an archaistic scroll in relief to the mid-section and above the tall ring foot, reserved on an incised diaper ground, the rim with a narrow border of dots, the handle to one side surmounted by a sinuous chilong peering over the top of the cup (nick to rim)
