A Daoguang dish from the Weishaupt Collection is illustrated by Avitable, From the Dragon's Treasure, 1987, pl. 91; another from the Hong Kong Museum of Art was included in their exhibition of The Wonders of the Potter's Palette, 1984, Catalogue, pl. 98; and yet another from the Addis Bequest, in the Victoria and Albert Museum, is illustrated by Kerr, Chinese Ceramics: Porcelain of the Qing Dynasty, 1986, fig. 48.
The design on this dish is inspired by Ming prototypes such as the Chenghua dish in The National Palace Museum, Taibei, illustrated in the Special Exhibition of Ch'eng-hua Porcelain, 1976, no. 15; related Xuande and Jiajing example are also included in pls. 135 and 136 respectively.
