A BLUE AND WHITE HEXAGONAL VASE WITH EUROPEAN GILT-BRONZE MOUNTS YONGZHENG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD, THE MOUNTS, 19TH CENTURY
The large vase painted on the body in bright cobalt-blue tones with four lotus sprays with centralized shou characters issuing scolling tendrils and four further smaller sprays, the trumpet neck similarly decorated with lotus-sprays above a key-fret border and below a wide band of crested waves, flanked by two cylindrical handles painted with 'S'-scrolls, fitted with elaborate gilt-bronze mounts, the base stamped 'Robert Linzeler' with maker's mark
