The straight-sided bowl rising to a flat, outward-curving rim, decorated on the exterior with multi-coloured lotus sprays issuing from scrolling vines alternating with bats suspending musical stones below blue and yellow borders of further flowers, the lipped-rim similarly decorated, the domed cover with further lotus, ones with pods alternating with others supporting Buddhist emblems, all reserved on a lemon-yellow ground, the cover topped with a gilt finial, the interior glazed turquoise (glaze flakes to interior)
