The globular body enamelled with ba jixiang interspersed with lotus-scrolls and leafy tendrils beneath a band of ruyi-heads, the shoulders with tall, curving handles, decorated with key-pattern meanders and floral-scrolls, the lip with an iron-red seal mark and the base with the iron-red three-character mark tong jia shi, supported on three feet decorated with key-pattern borders, the original intricately carved and wooden dome cover topped with a ceramic knop in the form of a lotus bud, with the empress's family name, Dong Jia Shi, painted in iron-red at the base
