Two seals of the artist: Gong, Hua
One colophon on the painting by Emperor Qianlong (1711-1799) can be translated as:
"The brushwork is delicate
The feeling subtly expressed
The far mountains seem colorless
The near water is so clear that one would like to hear its sound.
Where would the master of the old house have gone?
A lonely crane stalks in the garden.
I have tried to express the meaning in my superscription
And express my leisurely criticism while enjoying this scroll."
Colophon dated early autumn of wuzi year (1768)
Nine collectors' seals: eight of Emperor Qianglong and one of Emperor Jiaqing (1760-1820)
