a. Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy by Wen Zhengming
Ink on paper, 29.2 x 160 cm. (11 1/2 x 63 in.)
Signed: written by Yanmen Wen Zhengming
Three seals of the artist: Yu Lan Tang, Wen Zheng Ming Yin, Zhen Shan
The text is a description of the painting "Elegantly Gathering in the West Garden" by Li Gongling (1049-1106), originally composed by Mi Fu (1051-1107)
b. Landscape and Figures in Baimiao Style by Huang Zheng
Ink on paper, 29.2 x 193 cm. (11 1/2 x 76 in.)
Inscription at end of the painting by Lu Shihua (1714-1779) states that Huang Zheng presented him with the painting on his fiftieth birthday (1773)
Inscription dated the twenty-fourth day and the fourth month of guisi year (1773)
Seven colophons, including two by Lu Shihua and other 18th century contemporaries
Two collectors' seals
