A FINE AND VERY RARE MINIATURE CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL BOTTLE VASE
INCISED KANGXI FOUR-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The compressed globular body and tall slightly tapered neck decorated with an arched lotus scroll issuing multi-coloured blooms on a vine with leaves highlighted with red and yellow tips, all below pendent plantain leaves encircling the rim

Lot Essay

Kangxi-marked cloisonné enamel wares are extremely rare. Cf. a rare tripod censer and cover sold in our London Rooms, 5 June 1995, lot 281.
