A GROUP OF KINGFISHER FEATHER, SEED PEARL AND JADEITE HAIR ORNAMENTS
Comprising a barette, designed as a kingfisher feather and red glass peony with qin, qi, shu, hua, or items of scholarly pursuits; a pair of kingfisher feather hairpieces, with peony amidst foliage; a pair of kingfisher feather and seed pearl hair ornaments, of a phoenix in flight amidst scrolling clouds; a hairpin with a white jade peony amidst kingfisher feather and red glass peony; a pair of bu yao, the long tassels with kingfisher feather, coral and coloured glass drop beads; a kingfisher hairpiece for a bun; two small kingfisher feather hairpieces; and a jadeite and kingfisher feather ornament, designed as a vase of blooming flowers, inlaid variously on gilt copper cardboard, circa 1890-1920, some small loss to kingfisher feather (part illustrated)
