TWO MING CINNIBAR LACQUER BOXES AND COVERS

Each box and cover carved in relief, the first with lychee, flowerheads and wan emblems amidst veined leaves growing on arched stems reserved on a diaper ground, the second with budding and flowering prunus branches reserved on a similar ground, both with black-lacquered flanged interiors (age cracks and minor surface chips, some restoration)
