The 1990 vintage for Red Burgundy has a very high reputation. The favourable weather conditions during critical periods of the growing season caused the grapes to develope ripe tannins and fruit. This in turn has led to the 1990 vintage being compared with the great 1947 and 1959 vintages. While acidity levels are on the low side, the situation was similar with the 1947s and did nothing to impair the quality and longuevity of those wines
The following wines were all purchased en primeur by the present owner and have lain undisturbed in the same excellent conditions since original shipment. The quality of the 1990 vintage will ensure that these wines mature beautifully and continue to give pleasure for many decades
