The year that the Merlot crop was much reduced resulting in Cabernet dominated wines. Also the year in which an extra chais was acquired and all the cellar and office accomadation consolidated.
Tasting note: medium depth, mature appearance, scented, cedary, like Cabernet nose; nice weight and flavour. Lean, masculine, but a good '84. Last tasted 9/95. M.B.
