Traditionally, sherry is a blended wine but for many years the distinguished producer Gonzalez Byass has been selecting and putting aside butts (traditional 109-gallon sherry casks) to mature in their bodegas in Jerez
In the Spring on 1994 a limited quantity was bottled and put on the market for the first time at a special sale at Christie's on 12 May. Considered at its peak in cask between 20 and 30 years of age, this quality of sherry keeps well and continues to mature in bottle
